The three Cs are something that should be referenced throughout your career.
1. Consistency
Consistency should be implemented in both your content strategy (activity across all fan-facing platforms) and record release strategy (music that is released throughout the year). The more consistent you are, the more social media algorithms will display your content to followers and the more followers will keep your name and music front of mind.
2. Content
Content goes hand-in-hand with consistency, which is referenced above. However, we will focus on this a little more. Content allows for fans to feel connected to you as an artist. It is also how new listeners will find your account/channel and music. Create content that is authentic (a very overused term, but is necessary to reiterate) and original, which will draw in new listeners and followers.
3. Collaborations
Collaborating with artists in any genre will allow for you to tap into their fan base, hopefully leading to a new group of fans. Ten years ago, I would have suggested collaborating with similar-genre artists; however, there is definitely a trend of artists from completely different genres releasing songs together.
